Las Sacadas is the dynamic Argentine tango duo of Katerine Ricardo and Lauren Woods. They perform and teach both nationally and internationally, blending traditional and modern tango with a strong focus on inclusivity. They create powerful, open-role performances that have captivated audiences from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires. As internationally recognized teachers and performers, they are dedicated to building a welcoming and inclusive community that inspires every dancer to find their own authentic voice at their Las Sacadas Tango School in Los Angeles.

Lauren Woods
Lauren Woods is a versatile artist, acclaimed for her expertise in Argentine tango as a performer and instructor. She has garnered acclaim through her captivating performances worldwide, teaching and collaborating with numerous dance artists in workshops, festivals, milonga exhibitions, shows, and concerts.
Katerine Ricardo
Cuban actress captivated by tango. Former First Dancer with tango company Tango Entre Mujeres (Buenos Aires) for 6 years. Now in LA, Katerine leads Tango Queer LA, organizing classes, seminars, practices, and Brava Milonga, LA's first Queer Milonga. Currently pursuing a Choreography Licenciatura in Dance & Theater at the National University of Arts (Buenos Aires, graduation 2026).
